When we were in junior high - that’s what we used to call middle school in my day, by the way - my friend had a watch similar to this (obviously it wasn’t as spiffy as this one). he messed with it so that it would work with the TVs in class. When Channel One turned on for the morning, he’d turn off the TV. Of course, the teachers were instructed we were to watch Channel One every so often, so our teacher turned it back on. My friend kept messing with him until he finally gave up. Somewhere along the way, a rumor of a ghost started. I’m not sure if it was started by the teacher or it was unrelated.
